NEII reference group

The NEII programme is being delivered by the Bureau of Meteorology in collaboration with a number of partners.  Its success will be realised through technical and strategic engagement with the national environmental information community and through close collaboration with policy, operational and research sectors.

The NEII Programme has established the NEII Reference Group to:

  • provide implementation advice
  • provide a cross-agency forum to develop and implement a strategic agenda
  • establish a community-of-practice
  • establish working groups to address specific issues that arise.

The NEII Reference Group reports to the Australian Government Environmental Information Advisory Group (AG EIAG). Reference Group members include representatives from AG EIAG agencies and representatives from relevant national environmental information infrastructure initiatives such as National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) facilities and Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs).

NEMSR working group

The NEMSR working group established in April 2017 provides and information sharing mechanism between the NEII programme and NEMSR stakeholders to develop and shape NEMSR policy and to help the programme make informed decisions about future network inclusions.
