Data providers area

Welcome

Welcome NEMSR data providers. This area has been created for you to:

Example files

The native file format for NEMSR is GeoJSON. Update and validation can only occur for this file format. You may, however, encode your site data using an interim CSV format which can be converted to GeoJSON by the NEII CSV to JSON converter. Example GeoJSON and interim CSV files for the Solar and Deep Water Moorings networks and sites are provided below to assist you.

The example files are from networks in the NEMSR. The examples are for a simple network, Solar and Terrestrial Radiation Network, and a more complicated network with multiple observing properties, Deep Water Moorings. There are two files in CSV format, for each network, which are merged and converted to GeoJSON format using the CSV to JSON Converter, and the resulting GeoJSON file.

To view the GeoJSON file, open the file in Notepad++ or drag and drop it onto the NEII Viewer.

Network ID:5 - Solar and Terrestrial Radiation Network (BOM)

This network can be accessed using this link.

The files that were used to create this network in the NEMSR are:

 NEMSR example_NETWORK csv_ID 5 Solar.xlsx *

 NEMSR example_SITES csv_ID 5 Solar.xlsx *

NEMSR example_JSON file_ID 5 Solar.json (Open in Notepad++ or drag and drop it onto the NEII Viewer)

Network ID: 10 – Deep Water Moorings Network (IMOS)

This network can be accessed using this link

The files that were used to create this network in the NEMSR are:

 NEMSR example_NETWORK csv_ID 10 DW moorings.xlsx *

 NEMSR example_SITES csv_ID 10 DW moorings.xlsx *

NEMSR example_JSON file_ID 10 DW moorings.json (Open in Notepad++ or drag and drop it onto the NEII Viewer)

* Due to system limitations files designated with an * are .xls. These files can be downloaded and then saved as a .csv file.
